Your dining choices matter.
Thank you for choosing restaurants which share your values. We're currently compiling our own dining guide (from restaurants who have taken the pledge here), but for now, here's a helpful list of restaurants - from the WRA's own website - who are currently (or formerly) were dues-paying WRA members. If your favorite restaurant is on this list, please reach out to them and let them know that dropping their Wisconsin Restaurant Association membership is important to you as a customer. Many already have, so you may wish to ask if they have already committed to let their membership drop. And please remember: not all restaurants (or the employees answering the phones) know what the WRA is up to: they may just think it's pro-restaurant (and not anti-labor), so be understanding in your request. If they agree to drop their membership, have them sign on here, and we'll add them to our dining guide when it's published.
When you do choose to patronize a restaurant which is not a WRA member, please let them know that you value their decision. A few words to a server, manager, chef or owner can go a long way (and can lead to some great discussions - or, occasionally, a dessert on the house!) If you haven't yet made your own commitment to choose non-WRA restaurants, you can sign on here. We'd love to hear from you! Thank you for choosing restaurants which stand with their employees! |
