The right thing for your employees is the right thing for your restaurant.

Stand with your employees.

The Wisconsin Restaurant Association does not represent the values of restaurateurs. From their relentless campaigns to repress wages and working conditions, to the way in which they endorse and donate only to regressive, anti-labor politicians in Madison, the partisan WRA does not deserve your support or dues. They reflect badly on our industry, and do real economic damage to restaurants and our employees.

Our plan

The right thing to do

We're reaching out to other restaurant owners, like yourself, who value and respect their employees, and who want to end the assault on working conditions headed up by the Wisconsin Restaurant Association and WRA-funded legislators in Madison. We'll then be reaching out to consumers and highlighting the restaurants who have chosen to take a stand with their employees and against the WRA.

What you can do as a restaurant owner

  • First, if you have one,  drop your WRA membership. Send them an email, or a letter, or just let us know your intent below and let it expire.
  • Second, if you'd like to count yourself among the progressive restaurant operators who want to stand with their employees, sign up below. We'll make you a member, your dues will be $0, and we'll include you in our calls to action when it comes time to support the restaurants which support their employees.
  • Third, let us know if you support incentives for One Fair Wage employers here. We want to add you to the list of restaurants and bars who support this proposed legislation.
The right thing for your employees is the right thing for your restaurant. The WRA advocates for keeping working conditions and wages so repressed that fair-minded restaurant operators like yourself are at a competitive disadvantage. It's time to stop letting the Wisconsin Restaurant Association speak for our industry.

By weakening the WRA's influence, we will improve conditions for employees across the state, put more discretionary income into the pockets of consumers, and increase confidence in the Wisconsin restaurant industry.
